Cool Cats

With high temperatures at the weekend (39ºC in the shade) and predictions of persistent high temperatures we purchased some fans to assist the water cooled roofs and shading in maintaining comfortable temperatures for the cats.

"Activity Frame"

Each Lodge comes equipped with an activity frame, however they are often used for other activities. Once finished with they are hoovered, steam cleaned and exposed to UV light for some time. They are also treated periodically with a veterinary grade product to protect against fleas and mites.

Transport Service

Our "new" old transport. Need to remove the old company logos. This will assist us with our collection and delivery service and our additional pet grooming service.

Improvements have been made to the summer shading for 2015 and the roof cooling system too.

2015

The shading in 2014 (below) was too heavy and subject to problems with the wind.

Grooming

Pippa our first cat "model". Practice for another service we can offer in the future. Before (top) and after (bellow). Use of electric clippers were not required, groomed totally by hand. If you have a cat in need of grooming then why not give us a call to discuss your needs. More "models" required.

Half way through, we stopped for a rest. Notice the "extra" cat that was removed.

Warm Weather Protection

Been busy upgrading this years warm weather protection for the lodges. New wood pergolas with green screening. New soaker hose along each roof peak to keep the lodges cool in the high summer temperatures. Finally a new "reception" pergola, so we too can be as cool as the cats :)

Making the most out of the heat lamp.

Lua arrived with an eye problem requiring medication during her stay.

Lua's eye improved rapidly during her stay. 

"The Cube" as we call it is very popular with our guests. 

Other cats prefer the top tier of the activity frame.

We are fully booked for Easter weekend. (Note: not with these cats, we never share pictures of clients cats whilst they are away on vacation for security)

The Americans are here!

A pair of American short hair cats that have relocated to Portugal.

These American short hairs are a little larger than their European cousins.

Black cats. Hope they bring us luck!

3 Cats...

our lodges are large enough to comfortably accommodate 3 cats. We only permit cats from the same family to share a lodge.
